Hi, I own 86 and 88 Baurs and am looking for someone who can help with the issues around healthy running and mild upgrades. For instance I have the upgrade air manifold kit but my 320i doesnt seem to have an idle valve and is my ecu suitable, my 323i aircon needs modern gas but the aircon specialists Ive spoken to cant deal with the old gas, etc, etc. I have a great fully equipped garage that can do the general stuff (If preferable),and a great bodyshop, but need someone to do/help with the fun bits. Steve.

Steve,
You should contact Ant on this very forum. He's a BMW specialist (used to work for Lilly & Constable I believe) and has recently started up on his own. As luck would have it, he also used to be an Air conditioning engineer, so may be able to help with the A/C probs as well.
I'm sure he'll be in touch when he spot's this.
Cheers,
Ian.

Ant seems exceptionally knowledgeable and a thoroughly good chap! I'll stop there because he's working out some prices. Thanks for all the replies, I will consider photo's when the cars are presentable because Baur's seem under represented. They may have been born on a heavily overcast and thundery day in a bavarian castle basement but they ended up being really practical. How many convertibles have roof racks ? I have had Stags, spits, mg's etc and proper e30 convertibles in the past and the Baur in my opinion is the best to live with, probably. Thanks again, Steve.

Couldn't agree more. I love my baur. The guys and girls on this forum have all been very supportive towards me and have given me loads of advise.
