yet another obc question

Does anyone know what the small blue light on the 6 button obc does? I'm guessing it comes on with the 'gong' when the outside temperature drops, but mine never has & i don't see an obvious way to get to the bulb.

have you got a picture? i'd never seen a blue light on my old obc, i've had it go below 3 degrees or whatever too, nothing came on...only thing i can think you're referring to is the "other" hole that isn't the one you push in to set it...

is it a light or (get this ) a dimmer sensor....

i know it sounds fool, but if i wander my hand past it, the clock seems to get brighter, and i dont think i have special powers so...

but im odd anyway

aha! you could be right. I noticed that the digits got brighter as i put my hand close just the other day. I was playing with it for ages!

Thats odd, I thought it was controlled via the headlight switch like all the rest of the instruments and the 13 button OBC is.
