Hi,

I am just wondering if anyone know how best to get a cylinder head transported?

I realise this isnt stictly on topic but I assume you guys quite often have to deal with getting heavy stuff delivered.

the head i may be buying is in coventry, the car its going on is in north/mid wales

won't be excessive as the weight and dimensions aren't that great Try Amtrac they will collect and deliver next day Make sure it's well protected with bubble wrap and boxed up

I've used these guys quite a lot http://www.interparcel.com/ and found them very reliable and reasonably priced, especially after your first order as you get the option to register giving you 10% off.

I sent a cylinder head to London from Manc and iirc it cost about Ԛ£20 next day insured.

I'd avoid Parcels-to-go like the plague, they failed to collect the same order 3 times and it took 4 months to get my money back from the robbing b@stards.

Cheers,

Dont use Nightspeed.

Try ANC and this is the link to the Coventry depot:

Daz,

You should be able to get wheels x 4 plus tyres for around Ԛ£60, if you held an account then it would be cheaper say around Ԛ£45. Try ANC for wheels and tyre and use parcelforce for the skirts and pods.
Give me a bell on 07810 650 395 if you want to discuss it further.

I shipped a cyclinder head (17kg) to the US for Ԛ£56 using parcel2go which I though was pretty good. Only took two days as well. But I have heard of problems with them!

Parcel Force?

I managed with parcelforce for set of skirts but if they locally are fussy then use ANC as well IMHO.
Why not set an account up anyway ????
