Hi, i,m not exactly a beemer newbie, but i have recently bought a 325i touring of a mate. It was just to use for work, but after 3 hours of cutting and polishing i can see potential. Plus 124,000 and fbmwsh. I currently own a 2001 V7 STI WAGON (Impreza) running 333bhp and 0-60 in 4 sec's flat. But it wasn't always like that. Ihave in the past owned 2-E30 M3's, one a coupe the other a maccau blue cab, both 1990. A C27 Alpina touring
A 325i cab and a couple of sports, plus one 318is. Ithen progressed to the E36 in many guises but couldn't settle into them. But this little project of mine has put a smile on my face.

I got, side tracked by an Audi RS2, brutally quick.... But typically Audi only in a straight line. Big bends and quick exits were a no-no. After that kind of power it's hard to get away from the sucking and whoosing of a turbo. My brother had a WRX and after a trip in that, i was sold. So 5 years and several scoobys later i have got one of the rareist of them all. But i still love the raw edge of the E30 and i dont think BM ever got it back with the later models E36 E46. Still it's nice to be back, and no doubt i will see some of you at one of the meets.Zayyan wrote:welcome back

I saw for sale a few years ago an Impreza Gravel Express, you seem fairly clued up all things Scooby,is the Gravel express a pretty rare one?
I recall it having huge BHP,but can't remember the figures,i've never seen another.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

The gravel express is a bit of a mystery. I beleive it had raised suspension and two tone paint, not very pretty. A bit like an Audi allroad, and being a scooby, people seem to go over the top on power levels.
