Hello all,

I recently got myself an E30 M3, it was owned by Chris Miller (a forum member) and an enthusiast before that also. The car is totally standard apart from some Eibach springs, and is immaculate in everyway. Coming from a history of driver focused cars such as the Clio Williams and the 106 GTi (and such mistakes as Audi S3Ôš's and MKIV Gti golfs), the E30 M3 was a car that I always had to own.

Plans for the car donÔš't include a lot, just keep it as immaculate as possible and just make sure that it is maintained to the best of my ability.

The reverse lights donÔš't seem to work so if it isnÔš't bulbs thatÔš's a job for the weekend. The power steering is also a bit noisier then I would like so something to investigate also.

Any thoughts or feedback is welcome!

Also, any meets/events in the Reading area coming up?

Mehdi

Welcome mate, good example, if your planning to do anything then maybe a leather retrim, but keep that body untouched as there getting rarer by the day.

It will be kept standard, no doubt about it. If anything is being touched it'll be the engine!

Where abouts is the Ace cafe? The name sounds familiar!

Ben, that sounds good. You'll have to give me some details nearer the time. Is it busy at this time of year?

Nav- asi i said, i have no intention of doing anything to it. It's a real gem, and everything about it is immaculate so maintaining it to this standard will keep me busy enough. I paid in the region 0f Ԛ£7k. It has been owned by a manager at BMW HQ, done 500 miles in the last year and has receipts a plenty. Just had a full suspension and brake over-haul, and everything else on the car is as new!

PM sent fella

You got a good deal there, it looks mint and cars that are owned by BMW staff generally want for nothing (mine was owned by a BMW manager too)

If you decide to do anything to it, just make sure it can ben easily put back to standard, thats always been my approach anyway.

Adam, bigger and better things for Craigs car though. He is going for a big valve head and more headwork, it'll be good for a 220-230 bhp after. That car was awesome though, 13.4 1/4 mile in a FWD car!

Yeah Craig was saying it will be pretty rapid, I was at Pod when it broke but was too damp to get any traction plus he was running slicks, but a damn fine car all the same!

Is there a pattern? Clio's to BM's? I may have a Willy soon too.. Just need to get rid of the Mini.

Anyway would be cool to see your motor at the Ace, I will keep an eye out!

Nice car. Makes me miss my red one. This was actually for sale when I bought mine in 2004 and I arranged to see it but I saw the one I bought before hand so didn't check it out.

Enjoy it!

Geoff, i recognise the user name. Yeah the clio was an awesome machine, the fastest car i have owned to date and one that is still big on the Clio scene by the sounds of things!

M3imy, do you remember what price it was going up for back then?

It was around 7k because that was what I wanted to spend on one. Hopefully they won't all have rusted by the time I can afford one as a hobby.
