Hi - Liverpudlian doing time down under (25 years now) - have just bought 323i (1985) - love your site and will definitely send some pics, soon as I work out how to.
Even I have to buy parts over in your part of world - you may like to try the good guys at Walloth and Nesch in Germany www.wallothnesch.com - only have older classics on their web site, but if you email Albrecht and tell him what you want, I have found their prices much more competitive than anything I have seen in uk or elsewhere.
Have just put on a new larger exhaust, with a resonator and flow through muffler and the car just screams, much better than when I bought it and also goes for my old e21......
To my question though, I have a K&N filter on the car in the standard air box and, like many of you, want to put a higher volume of cold air through the manifold.
Fact is, can't seem to find a good kit in US/UK or anywhere, other than for the later 318/325 models. Tempted to just buy a pod filter and hook it up via tubing to the area in front of passenger front wheel - ie behind spoiler - but am wondering what sort of problems I am going to encounter - ie air sensor, valves etc.
Has anyone achieved a good solution to the older 323s?
regards to all - Chris
