Bought a touring on eBay today, having fancied one for a while.

I'm gonna be selling my '88 Coupe 325i SE Lachs silver.
Scruffy car, mechanically very sound and has Sport Leather
in Grey but I think I will sell them seperatly.

First job on the touring will be to sort the clutch which is easy as I have done it before, then get leather seats.

I thought you'd say welcome to the club. I'm actually really looking forward to it.
Do you think I will ever find a grey leather interior? I've got grey now and really like it,
seems less common than the black and goes well with grey roof lining and carpets.
Yep it's the one with the dodgy clutch. I've had a chat to the guy and it sounds like
the master cylinder is buggered, which I had to fix on my bros cab in the summer as payment for driving it whilst it was sunny!
Little does my brother know the part was Ԛ£5 from the scrappy and not Ԛ£40 from ECP! And when you actually get down to it its a 20 min job.
The car was perfectly driveable without it fixed though...once you got used to it!
Three cheers for the touring club!

Oh sorry, eBay link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1

OH yea of little faith!!!
Don't say stuff like that.
It'll need MOTing whilst I have my easter holidays, so any work that needs doing I will do my self, even if it does take 3 weeks!
Do all tourings have sport springs? or are they just stiffer and not lower like the sport? Also what's the chances of it haviong an LSD?
I'm gonna get a build sheet from BMW on monday.

It was only the 2.5 tourings that had the M-tec supension i was told.

Cross your fingers it might have an LSD but will most likeley have an open 3.91 dif.

Do you mean you want the open diff? Or is it a typo, as in It'll have an open diff.
I know what you mean mate, it'll be fun especially as I have wanted one for quite a while. Have to flog the coupe first, that'll be a challange. Just can't bring my self to break it cos it has 11 months MOT and is mechanically sound just scratched dented and has some cosmetic rust.

That'll dissappear pretty quickly, it'll gfet a FULL valet. Carpet shampoo, everything. Think I'll get a big rubber mat for the boot too, just incase i have to have our dogs in it. I like the fact it's got the load cover and dog guard.

He he, just took a detour to the BMW dealer with the reg number.
And.......it's got an LSD!!! whopee, I don't think I would have survived without one.

Also anyone have any idea why an '89 car had *****CATALYSER DELETE*** on the data base?

It's got full OBC too which I wasn't sure about, and the dog guard was in it from new......
Anyway I getting boring about my new toy... shut up Widge!

Well it may still be rusty, but hey what the heck, I don't gamble in the casino like my flat mate, I do it with cars far more fun!

I don't think I can really go wron for that money with all the toys it's got, cos if I had to break it I'd get Ԛ£250 for the diff!

I used to be a lachs silver man, but I'm blue now, any one know what the colour is?

ooh very nice buy!
I just bought an E reg 325 touring in white off ebay.. cost me Ԛ£1288 :(

Still, its pretty low mileage - but no LSD.
Good news on the dog guard too, GF's dog is a real bastard for shedding hair on the front seats when you nip into a shop.

Little basta*ds... well and the big basta*ds always end up on the fron seats. Especially annoying as the big Labrador is confused bless him and normally moults for 11 months of the year.

I think the delete catalyst is on all plastic bumper e30's. It certainly shows on my build sheet.

lots of cars post 87 start to show on the build sheet "catalyser prepared" i have always taken this to mean they were pre wired for the oxygen sensor but the cat was then only an option in uk, but was a legal requirement in other countries ie they had been out in the u.s. for years as it got closer to being a requirement as they were built (ie into the 90s) you had the option to not have the cat fitted (i can remember this being worrying because the price of replacing at cat was quite scary when they first came out)i remember getting a price for a volvo one for 1200 quid) so people opted out untill you had no choice in the matter

I thought it might be somthing like that.
Yep I recon I've got my self a bargin.
Just need to find som leather seats, all the ones for sale seem to be comfort leather which is a waste of time in my opinion, I think I may end up buying a set of touring comfort in black then having to find sport front ones in black to match and then sell the comfort frons....ahhhgggg

I'm interested that you're buying leather seats. My current 325 and my previous 318 tourers both have that grey velour, which is OK but a bit dull. What sort of prices are you looking at for a set of seats, assuming average luck? (Not the kind of luck that gets you the full car for Ԛ£360 you jammy git!)

Well my last set for the coupe I have got now were ... actually I'm not at liberty to disclose that as I will be selling them next week or the week after :D
But they look like this-

Come to think of it I am a jammy git, I have never paid more than Ԛ£400 for a car.

Nope no charge for the spec print out.
What was the price originally then?
Wasn't Ԛ£300 was it? Cos that's what I'd expect to pay for Sport seats not comfort.

Just imagine a 6 with a V12 sound track, and all the toys from a 750!!
