Restore chrome trim strips

Hello !
I am looking for a solution to restore all the chrome trim (roof strips, door surrounds, quarter-light trim).
Some of my trim pieces have deep scratches.

P.S.: I live in France and have owned my 1987 325i (Phase 1) since 2011.

Probably not much you can do to restore them, apart from getting some decent metal polish such as Solvol Autosol and maybe using a Dremel or similar tool with a small buffing wheel to help with polishing them, taking to care to mask up any surrounding rubber/paintwork you don't want to accidentally rub on.
