I love my 92 318i cabby manual, but I would really love a straight 6, what’s the easiest swap out engine for her?

Easiest would be stick to OEM and fit a good 325i M20B25, match with the correct loom and ecu and it should be plug and play. Finding the bits these days is the hard part.

Easiest to find but a bit more work are the usual culprits of the M50/52/54

I fit a m52 with no prior knowledge and it went in very easy ,i had a few issues which the forum helped with ,i fit mi e on my driveway with no special tools.
