Hi All,
My car is at the dealer having it's soft-top re-synchronized. I have done this myself, in the past, but couldn't be bothered to track the fault this time, when I replaced the broken open/close switch.
However, I digress, the garage has got the roof working as it should, but while it is with them, I wanted them to get the headlamp wash/wipe system working too.
They reckoned it needed a control module, which has been fitted, but it still doesn't work. They are fitting a new module tomorrow.
Does anyone have a video of a working system and does it only work when the lights are on? I can't remember, and the techs are all younger than the cars, these days, so they have no working knowledge.
Thanks.
Some quick help with the headlight wash/wipe

I think I found what I was looking for from Brian Moooore:
"The headlamp wash/wipe should be activated every fifth time the normal washers are used when the lights are on, but five times in short succession doesn't work.
Once the two headlamp wiper motors have received a start pulse, there operation is entirely autonomous. They complete there pre programmed sequence, including operating the washer pump, with no further input".

Yeah that's how it works, difficult to test in practice. Handbook only says pull the stalk with headlights on.Gert_8 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 3:24 pmI think I found what I was looking for from Brian Moooore:
