Has anyone tried eBay-kleinanzeigen?

I'm in the search for timing sprockets for my 1990 318is (m42), now they've been discontinued they're just impossible to find anywhere, almost easier doing an engine swap!

I've found someone who sells/makes new sprockets on eBay-kleinanzeigen, but don't know if it can be trusted? Also you can only verify your account if you have a European phone number!

Any help on this or the whereabouts of sprockets would be greatly appreciated!

I live in Germany and use this free Ebay site a lot...a percentage of users have paypal but many also only use bank transfers which is really common here, it's really normal to buy a product and receive an invoice which you then pay...afterwards !! Never happen in the UK !!

I've only had 1 issue where a guy didn't send the ICV but cited family problems and returned my money.

In general you're dealing with individual's and not some hidden off shore dodgy business or whatever, so it works just fine.

Don't remember phone verification but yeah maybe that's a problem outside Deutschland.
