I’m about to replace the rear shocks in my 325 Cab. They have needed doing for a while but after an entire ladies hockey team climbed in it for a photo opportunity this weekend and bottomed out the rear springs for a good 5 minutes, I wasn’t there! I think the shocks are almost certainly finished off now.
The replacement seems pretty straightforward. Is there anything else I need to do, check or think about at the same time?
Cheers guys.

Get E46 Convertible top mounts. Much stronger.

Hi, any pics of the ladies hockey team??
Straightforward job when I did it on my cabbie. The only problem I had was with the bolt shown below. I could not get the original bolt back in, even though it looked in ok condition. Eventually I bought a new one, which worked fine. It turned a one hour job into a multi-day job.

Thanks Coopman. I’ll spray them with WD40 ahead of time. I’m waiting for the shocks to arrive apparently there’s are no Bilstein B4’s in uk.
Re a photo of the hockey team I have it but can’t workout how to post it!

For the benefit of the forum, that's how to bottom out your springs and put your shocks in shock!

Fair play for allowing that many women into your car lol
+1 for the E46 top mounts stiffens it up a bit and who wouldn't want an upgrade for pennies more!
You keeping it OE or are you going to lower it a bit?
