Do you mean the front wings? They are well worth repairing if they are originals as nothing fits as well as factory wings

yeah front wings ,not sure what to do they are not to bad and could be salvaged but thought of saving weight with fiberglass bonnet ,wings maybe even roof, but am unsure how good the items will be

Neither it will be a road car, my thought behind it is to future proof the car ie they won't rust

Fibreglass never looks right and no real benefit on a road car. To get the thickness for strength that doesn't crack after 6 months there is not much, if any, weight saving. Carbon is better but £££

Do the tried and tested mods to suspension and steering and it will handle as well as you will get it to on the road.

As Dan says nothing fits as well as factory wings. Even new ones from BMW don't fit as well as originals. If they are originals then fix them/get them fixed, modern underside treatment and they will do another 30 years.

Nothing fits like the original wings!
I've got repos on mine and I can easy tell
Having said that they were only £45 each and its far from a minter so they'll do to keep it looking half tidy
