Moderator: martauto
I’ve been using it when the fuel station I’m at only has it and nothing else. The pipe that feeds the FPR has started leaking or has my FPR gone bad.

Apparently its bad news for old rubber hose, steel fuel tanks, aluminium, brass, carburetors...
Its definitely bad news for mpg, so many people tell me their mpg has reduced since using it. The local Shell garage sell E10 at a higher price than the supermarkets Super unleaded, and people still buy it
As my daily car is LPG converted I only use super as it sits in the fuel tank for a couple of months at a time

I wont use it in the e30 at all.
I avoid it like the death in the e46 and only use it if forced to.
I thought it was just me but quite a lot of people are saying the same about the mpg situation being worse.
I also have noticed a slight drop in performance and "smoothness" of the m54b25 so from a while back I just use 99 octane from shell or similar.
I had a go with sainsburys super (97 octane) which was about in between the two so for the miles that I do per week (@ 70 for work) I will stick with the 99 octane.
Mart.

Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

Been using it since day 1 in the touring, it’s the Mrs’s daily driver and I can’t be bothered explain why she should use the more expensive petrol without giving myself a headache.
I don’t drive it enough to notice these days but being a 318i auto it was never good on fuel, usually around 25-30mpg. Can’t imagine it’s made it much worse!
