My electric door mirrors only move up and down, not left or right - I am assuming there is an issue with the switches somewhere but don't really know where to start.

There's a clutch inside the mirror to change the direction as the mirror only has one motor.
The clutch power is not making it from the door switch, normal reason is the large connector in the door pillar between the hinges...the tiny pins become corroded and all sorts of functions fail.
Don't have access to wire colours right now but you get the idea.
