would e30 cab rear windows work on a 2 door coupe?

does any one think that e30 cabby rear windows would work on the e30 coupe as i want some way of having rear windows that open completly instead of the pop out ones any ideas?

IMHO no, they are a totally different shape !!!!!!

the big six had roll down widows in the back, there more the same shape :?

i was kinda wondering if i could somehow modify the standard glass and use the motors etc from a cab or something similar

yeh but there pillar will be in the way, plus behind the rear card its just metal, where will the window wind down to.

the tin top windows are much bigger so if you out a cabby window in there it would not go all the way to the rear pillar, you would then have to put a second pillar with extra glass in there to fill in the gap. too much work and would look ugly. but in my opinion it would work the rear window would wind down into the space same as the cabby window as the rear panel are the same.

2 nd problem would be no mounting points for the window frame and no power for the motors.

i think it would be worth the extra hassle and look pretty good i'm tryin to find new things to do to make the baby beemer stand out
