I am pretty sure this has been covered before but I am experiece a problem that cannot understand
A ticking noise was comming from the engine making me think that is the lifters. I took it to the mechanic which has experience with the E30s and he changed the lifters. The ticking was gonne for about 200 km but has come back. The mechanic didnt change anything else as he told me that the everything looked in very good condition.
I cant understand what is going on . Do you think that it might be the injectors?

injectors often notably tick even when in good order, get an automotive stethoscope (or other tool) and listen to see if its them, its not necessarily a sign they are dirty but if they are old and its not been done a good idea in itself

i was researching about injectors and I came across an upgrated type with four hole discharge orifice by Bavarianwerke. Has anyone tryied those or what are your opinion about it?
