I am in the beginning stages of planning an ev swap e30 build. I am thinking I will use an m52 5 speed and stock diff/rear. I would be making an adapter plate to connect an ac motor to the transmission effectively replacing just the engine and the rest of the drivetrain would remain the same. I'm currently looking for a chassis to start with but if anyone has any suggestions of specific parts of a build like this let me know.showbox speed test

I know it is not how you are thinking of building it but have you seen this?milowbrac wrote: ↑Tue Sep 21, 2021 6:54 pmI am in the beginning stages of planning an ev swap e30 build. Make sure you use a clutch. Some ev's conversions don't have them and it takes forever to shift gears. It takes too long to line up the engine rpm.

I cannot understand why anyone would want to convert any classic car to ev
They are just taking away the vehicles charm
The noise a air cooled vw makes the wine a mini makes when pulling away in first gear
I cannot think of a better way to set fire to petroleum then with a m20b25
Don't get me wrong I'd have an ev but it would have to be a tesla model s!
