318iS Baur register...

Hi all,

I recently purchased a 318iS Baur. As a dillusional iS owner I find the model rather interesting given the fact (from what I can tell, and some may say it's a blessing ) they only brought 28 to the UK. There is little info on where these cars are, I wanted to at least to cast a net to see if anyone maybe knows of others lurking in the shaddows.

So far from google searchs I have found 3. Mine and the two that were for sale on car and classic middle of last year. I've found various dead end threads where people have mentioned them but the threads are now 6 or 7 years old.

Anyway. I look forward to finding more info

There was a guy on here a year or three back that ran the Baur register and he asked me for the number from the plate on the passenger door support.
He was a world of information but I havent heard from him for a few years .
I think he was from Holland and have been trying to find out more about him but to no avail , he cant have dissapeared, can he ?


Gr Jeroen was his name and Baurtje was his user name but I have drawn a blank so far .
I will have to bring in help from ...............................her indoors, she can find out anything !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not tonight though, she has a surprise party for her 60th
Dont let this go Rich as it`s a proper find and Baurs are still coming into their own.

So far I’ve tracked down 6, two of them have been exported.

( a red 320is was sold from london to essex awhile back) is on there,, etc,,,,,
