Morning guys and gals,
How is everyone sealing their diffs? I sealed mine using instant gasket years ago but its started to seep at the bottom corner now.
Considering re sealing it but wanted to know if gaskets are still available for it?
Issue is my original car came with the small case diff and I have since replaced it with the large case so putting my VIN no. into OEM or parts places gives me the smaller diff.
Need a gasket for the size on the Left
Thanks in advance

You can buy a 188 medium diff gasket - you'll find its just thin paper style so usually needs some sealant as well - its this item 33111210405

Loctite 518 is an official BMW replacement for those paper gaskets.
Trouble is some people just gunge on anything they have thinking it will do.

I actually think this is the stuff I used as I was working at BMW at the time, Even then I wanted a proper gasket but can't remember now why I didn't get one.
This has lasted over 5 years so wasn't too bad at all with just a sealant.
