I am waiting for my strip to arrive but it gives me time to think "how the hell do I fit it ?? "
Can I, (never done or seen it done before) fit it or is it down to the windscreen guy`s who may not be old enough to know how to do it?

Any ideas please ?

Will this do, I have read the wiki and it seems fairly straight forward.

Don't do it like the video and put the locking strip in without the proper tool, they are not expensive and you risk trashing the edge of the seal especially if it is beyond its best.

Personally I prefer to get the windscreen seated in the rubber then put it in the car with a cord. Doing it like the video can trap air between the glass and rubber that will lead to a leak

I`m just replacing the locking strip, the screen is staying in but I have bought the proper tool, like you say, they are cheap enough anyway.
The strip arrived today so when the tool turns up I will have a go.

I put the strip in place last week and it makes a huge difference to the look of the old chromie.

Its a bit wider than the one I removed but fits OK .
I damaged the corners a bit as the tool was not a massive help but for £26 delivered ,it is still well worth it .
