Hi guys

i have just changed my brake pads but my calipers, caliper bracket and the brake disc guard are all rusty. does anybody know the best way to clean these up so they look new? DIY job or for a professional?

Just use a quality rust remover like Carlston, wash off, dry and paint. But take care, rust remover is very toxic.
I am lucky, no rust here.

and be sure to use brake caliper enamel - its heat and salt and everything resistant and you can use crazy colors too!

Depends what you want, if you want them to look good then good clean, wire brush, rust converter, than caliper paint as above. Easy to do at home.

If you want them like new then it is electrolysis rust removal, media blasting and then electroplating with zinc passivate. Possible to do at home but best left to a professional
