e30 318i m10, no power steering but for some reason too heavy to turn?

Hello everyone,

So my e30 m10 318i has no power steering. Hard to turn is expected, but mine is like another level of heavy to turn when not moving.
I have had the opportunity to check another one and it was much lighter to turn.

What could be the case mine is so heavy?
Anything that can be adjusted or checked to make it easier to turn without adding power steering?
I would like to avoid doing so, but this is too heavy and i cannot imagine its intended to be this heavy.

Without power steering you need to have the car moving before you turn the wheel.

Just a slight bit of movement will make it easy.

You're not supposed to move the steering on ANY car when it's not moving. The only way you'll make it lighter when not moving is to fit narrower tyres, or inflate them more.
