I happened to see this months Practical Classics - it has their latest "price guide" inside.

I'm not really that interested in a cars apparent value - but I was surprised to see that my 325i E30 Conv. listed at 7K for condition 1
and then 11K for dealer/concours condition.

Dealers appear to be asking ludicrous amounts (+20K) for cars with issues like "small rust bubbles around sun roof) - whilst after a quick scan around here, I found a 320 Cabby
with 200K Km on the clock up for 17.5K euro's - looks pretty tidy, does have a new soft top...then... another for 19.9K, another for 16.5K another cheapo for 12K and then one for 30K and another for 24K,
finally the most expensive was 34K. These are all on the free German Ebay site, "kleinanzeigen"

The geezers at PC magazine are always grinding on about the Porsche Boxter they bought for 1500 quid - or the Jag XK8 you can find for 5K - I'm beginning to wonder how
far from the real world any of these suggestions are - PC also suggest you could buy a rough condition 325i Cabby for 1,250 notes - well I'm boogered if I've seen such an
example for years -

Interesting times, I reckon PC Mag is out of touch by a mile! I wonder where they get their figures from?

i gave up reading PC ages ago, they seem to think that everyone can pick up a boxter for £1500 yet fail to tell you where they got theirs from.

as for e30 prices? they seem to be all over the place, but with the dealers prices i often wonder how much is their commission.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Prices have gone crazy lately!

Its good if you are considering selling your E30 one day but the annoying thing for me is the "E30 tax" on parts these days!
