have awakened an idea in me, I have for a long time wanted to do a cross Europe trip to Italy and Verona, to be honest I think I would do it on my own as not to have someone moaning in the passenger seat, BMW E30 or Lotus S1 and when I watch this video it gives me inspiration.

Life is far too short for regrets to be honest.

Oh BTW the last time I was in Italy by the Venetian coast I was in a Ford Orion Ghia i

Thoughts?

Do it!

I've done a couple of motorbike European tours, both solo. Yea, there's times it'd be good to have some company but for me the freedom to do exactly what you want outweighs those times.
Last year I did cheat a bit and sent the bike down to Geneva on a lorry and then flew down, bike was at the hotel before breakfast the next morning.

Yes! I always travel alone...except the Napoli trip which was too far in a short time. More time and no problem...it depends on your personality...if you like your own company ...as well as eating alone on many occasions, then great, but definitely take the E30, it's more edgy and a greater achievement with an older car.

...this fom under the channel, in the cabby!

Ahh the train... good fun around lunchtime on a hot summers day, especially with no aircon

I`ve just come home from a 500 mile trip around the stunning Northumberland.
(keep it quiet, dont tell the money men !! )
Me and woor lass went , as usual, and its the first time she could drive the e46 325 cabby.
I love driving the cars but after so long now, I get so tired and to sit back and have a beer whilst on the way back to the "Digs" was sooooooo nice !!!
I stopped after passing through Pickering just outside Malton and said, "All your`s love !! "
She was not keen outside of Leeds joining the M1/M62 etc but was fine !!

Top down since Sunday as well all the time, bloody great

Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

Honestly yes to this. Go for it. Me and my brothers are planning to do the North Coast 500 in the E30’s.

I’d be up for a few solo trips though, especially if you could meet people in certain places

Cheers lads, going solo means no bitching like "why does the roof have to be down I am cold" or "can we stop I need to use a toilet" and having to drive a convertible with the bloody windows up, grrrrrrrrr

And errrr cough, you can always meet a lass that prefers an "Old Timer" Fezza's and Lambo's are ten a penny...........

I still need to decide whether its the E30 or Lotus, E30 is an 88 the Lotus is a 98 with a K Series engine, takes a deep breath.......... ;o)))))))) but would be more fun on the twistie's and a RHD car in the Italian mountains means you can get close to the edge on the mountain roads, o;))))

I may also need advice on some uplifting music soundtrack, not in to grunge or rap okay lads.
