Been offered my mates car before he advertises and wondered what you would thought was a fair price
Its a 318is with a M30B35 swap,
The cars been off the road for 5 years now as he couldn't get it running right after top end rebuild due to suspected fuelling issues and it was just left.
Needs welding to sills and battery tray but other than that it's suprisingly solid as it had majority of rust sorted when it was on the road
Got some nice parts on it though such as:
Genuine full mtech 2 kit including rear spoiler
Black sports interior
15 inch BBS with centre caps
13 Button OBC
Genuine Casette Holder
What you guys think would be a fair price
E30 with Genuine Mtech 2 kit price

Welcome to the zone, first of all from what your saying it’s a 318is with a mtec2 kit, so it’s not a Genuine mtec2, it makes a varst difference on the price.

I doubt if this one is, but why couldn't it be a genuine Mtec II iS? If the original buyer chose the option, he could have had it.

I've changed the title as yes your correct. Just a 318is with the mtech 2 kit . Trying to get an idea as I've been told the parts on it are worth more than he's asking

Yes guys not kitted from factory unfortunately. Been speaking to him today and he wants it gone to free up funds. He said he would let it go for £4k. Not really clued up on the e30s as coming from an e36. Trying to cover my back incase it's hiding rot

Depends on what parts it has, It looks like it has had headlight wash wipe at one time but not there now. If the tech 2 gear is intact (some of the clips are NLA), 13 button OBC?, Air conditioning? Cruise control?. Not likely for a 318is but possible. Dash cracked?
Difficult to say from that photo the condition of the interior, how much paintwork is needed and what the condition is behind the Mtec 2 kit.
I would probably sell the Mtec 2 kit and put it back as a 318is, but then again I always preferred the look of the 318is to the plastic sport.

I wouldnt say 4k is excessive, but you need to budget at least 2k to get it up and running, it depends on how much work you can do yourself.
If you can bag it for 3k then you cant go wrong. Fresh tyres, suspension, servicing etc, the engine could be a can of worms, and has the conversion been done to a high standard?
A Tech 2 car in a good colour, if it polishes up and is running optimally, it would be worth 7k minimum
