I am recommissioning my 325 convertible. It has an auto transmission leak, I believe from the torque conveyor seal. It leaks mainly when left standing for a few days. The longer it’s left then the more oil it drips.
The fix itself is simple but I need to split the engine/box. While I am at it I’m changing the timing belt and also have the front exhaust pipe to replace. My preferred solution is to take the engine out and leave the box in place. Is there any view on this and advice.

Thanks
Dave

I'd take the engine and box out together if I didn't have the facilities to just remove the box from underneath. Leave the wiring loom in place on the engine - just unplug it next too the fusebox.
