Apparently seats from a 1 series BMW fit straight into an E30, anyone know if this is the case? If so what model 1 series?

When the 1 series was first released, and I saw one in my local dealer, I was straight in there measuring the front seats with a tape measure, and found that they would just about be a perfect fit in an E30. I checked out the fixing arrangements as well, and remember thinking that there wouldn't be any great problems fitting these.
Of course, this was when the 1 series was new, so the chances of getting hold of a surplus seat to try was minimal at the time, and haven't had the need to since, so I can't say whether they are an exact fit with no mods at all.

My youngest had a 120D sport and I found the seats a little too narrow for me but then again I am a touch on the larger side.
So why are they a good replacement then ?
A full Alcantera set for £275 + £60 on the bay ?
Mart.

I have s set of e90 seats to fit and had brackets made just thinking if the 1er seats fit straight in it would be an option if the 90 seats sit to high, I have had a few 1 series and get on with the seats

I will be quite happy just to get my drivers left grey bolster repaired.

E90 seats fitted, not for the purists but I like them and they are comfortable.
