So, the coolant rad on my M40'd saloon is the original from factory and I think its probably getting past it's best now and was just wondering what you guys thought was the best aftermarket radiator to buy for it. Nissens and Behr/Hella seem to be popular choices, but I've read a lot of conflicting advice regarding these two... Some swear by them, some say utter rubbish and avoid at all costs.....

Has anyone had any personally experience on this regarding their M40'd E30 ?!

I'm probably going to order on line anyway, so price and available not so much of an issue, just one to fit a decent one and know that is going to last the test of time.. (original one still in service after nearly 30 years and is made by "LR" with bmw stamp next to it).

Any suggestions and or recommended would be much appreciated

I'd be happy with Nissens or Behr, and I'd buy it from autodoc.co.uk.

Thanks for the reply Brain. I think I'll probably go with the Hella one however, I don't think I will be going through Autodoc. Although very cheap, I've had issues with them in the past and once bitten, twice shy as they say.....

Hella and Behr (same people)

Wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Autodoc, Useful to have a range of suppliers to pick from for parts that are NLA from BMW.

Whilst they are not perfect I have had no issues in delivery or sorting problems/refunding items when needed. They are not the quickest but items from stock in Germany take time no matter where they come from.

Surprised to hear that. They've always delivered exactly what I ordered, and as quickly as possible.

Fair enough guys. Maybe I wash just unlucky I suppose. They are definitely very competitive and being such are large company, people do inevitably make mistakes and it doesn't always go as smoothly as one could hope for. Will check them out re prices and availability etc. Thanks again for input chaps.
