I'm a miserable bastard and I'm quite happy to admit it. Many, many things annoy and irritate me, from Trump and Johnson to people misusing the word 'literally' and saying 'like' every third word. From vacuous 'celebrities' that I've never heard of infesting every TV channel to the tragic state of the current music scene etc etc, you get the picture. And I have to add to this list something that invariably makes me cringe, the use of the word 'coupe' when referring to an E30. IT'S NOT A COUPE, IT'S A 2 DOOR SALOON!!! I know coupe sounds cool and exotic but it's simply wrong. Please, if you're guilty of this misdemeanor then take a long hard look at yourself and make the simple decision to never commit this faux pas ever again, the world will be a better place for it.

Another one to add, on a regular basis I stand in a queue in a shop and hear people say to the member of staff serving them "can I get" ,,,, well no, actually you can't, the person serving you gets it and hands it to you FFS

No it is a 2 Door, it is not a hatchback. The boot is no more a door than the bonnet or the fuel filler cap. You can't sit in the driver's seat through the boot (even if you do have a ski-hatch)
