got the e30 running in my driveway, warming it up. Old woman next door staring, when i saw her, naturally i smiled back. She then said my car was too noisy. Its midday on a saturday, i doubt shes sleeping and its only a stainless steel backbox on idle! she obviously doesnt know the significance of an e30 or her husband is jealous because she doesnt let him buy one and she needs to take it out on me. Some people like to look for trouble.

I can sympathise with your neighbours! I've got the king of the chavs a few doors down from me and his max power Silvia has the most ridiculous exhaust I've ever seen/heard, it must be about 20cm in diameter and of course he just loves to rev the nuts off it whenever he's behind the wheel. Just out of interest, what would be the effects of emptying a can of expanding foam down the tail pipe?

I think everyone within a mile radius would be a suspect, no reason to torch my house first.

I understand your dislike of this chav but I would expect nothing less from the type of person who has a max power Silvia. Whereas it is hard for me to see how my standard 318 apart from a aftermarket backbox is causing issues whilst idling.

annoying neighbours? oh most definitely.

no matter if i'm out in the yard working on the e30, or my other car at least one will be moaning about what i'm doing,

so much so thatone has even complained to the housing association about me, they came out to see what i was doing & the woman they sent said she could see no problems with me working on my own car, & to keep it up till it was on the road,

there's one couple who live on the end of the road who were moaning because i put up a gazebo over the car in winter so i could work in the dry, they were claiming that they could see it from their bedroom window & that it was "disturbing" to them, only problem with that complaint is the fact there's a house in front of their bedroom window so how could they see it from there???

also got moaned at while i was sorting some rust on mu other car while using the grinder, despite the fact that it was midday on a Wednesday & also despite the fact there is a building site behind my house in full swing making far more noise than me but no it was me getting moaned about.

another one is the house next to mine, always moaning that i keep making their dog bark when i'm out in the yard, anything sets that dog of even a bird flying by.

by far the worst one is a guy a few houses up with a subaru with a chav cannon exhaust who loves nothing more then firing up the car first thing in the morning on a sunday & leaving it running for about 30 mins & opening the throttle wide for about 5 mins for no reason at all as the car hasn't moved for about 3yr's.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)

Steve, firstly ive got to say that those two quotes you have just below your reply are brilliant :D
Your situation is a lot worse than mine but backs up the point that people like to make a fuss about nothing. I dont understand why to be honest, maybe out of boredom.
