Hey guys I wasn't sure what category to post this under but ive been trying to diagnose a low/stalling idle for a while now and so far I've replaced plugs, tested the leads, can't find any vacuum leaks, cleaned and tested the icv and tps. And it's still consistently at 500-600ish rpm and hesitates sometimes after a rev. Could this horribly worn dizzy cap cause a steady but low idle? I'm almost sure it is just wanted to check first tho

Thanks 😁

Wow, that's in a horrible state, looks like there's a massive wear track in the posts making an excessive gap between the rotor and contact.

If you want great idle, no missing and fast pick up keep your distributor spotless, open up every two or three K to clean, it has a huge impact on performance and general driveability.

Buy a new one,

Paul :-)
