Getting a bit fed up searching for a set of 15 inch BBS wheels with caps etc and came across these.

Anyone seen them in the flesh? Pics look like random E30's with the OEM ones.

Personally I wouldn’t go for reps but that’s just me, if you want oem I would just wait for the right set to come along

An ad appeared for a refurbished set of 15" originals in the for sale section only a couple of weeks ago..

Yes I was in contact about those. Just pulled the trigger on a set of genuine ones now anyway, they're on their way to Lepsons.

E30's have become expensive toys!

That's true. Glad you managed to find a set though!

Just what I did 3 yrs ago, managed to get an original set from Hungary which matched the age of the car, they were in very good condition, but sent them to Lepsons, they were as new when returned, also got Lepsons to put new tyres on so no rim marks as can happen with careless tyre fitter.
Also sent disc’s and caps (managed to source new ones from USA) to Lepsons at same time so all match. Faultlesss work from Lepsons and quick. Yes not cheap, but what price perfection.

There are cheaper places than Lepsons, I have used Auto Wizz in Welwyn Garden City who do an excellent job, a 15" alloy without tyre is £40.

I have never had any difficulty getting 15" BBS from breakers and getting them refurbished, I am told the difficulty is in getting caps, but I have not needed those.

Caps are now just shy of €400 a set from BMW - or €220 if you fancy nogaro silver - so a set without them can work out significantly more expensive than a complete set.

FWIW - I don't think Lepsons are actually that expensive, slightly more than the equivalent wheel refurb guys here in Dublin. Any sets of the BBS wheels I've had done previously have turned out ok here, but always a few niggly issues - so was happy enough to pay a small premium to get them done properly.
