 Took the 2.7 off the road in December to put new bushes in and clean the back end up.All was going well took the back bumper off and most of you know when you take the kit off you always find something you don't want too. Here is what i found, I tried to put them in order.

Good work there mate!

So are you good with a welder? winkeye

I have some brackets that need welding onto the car.

Thanks for your comments guys.Daz I can weld but I have a mate who does it for me,but he's a good teacher.
Andrew I will PM you my number and you can tell me what you want doing, and we can sort something out if you like.I'm getting quite good at refurbing the back end.I did the cab last year and in a few weeks I shall start doing the same to the B6. winkeye

Fair play Roy, no corners cut there!! Keep up the good work!

That's all that's needed in that last pic is a new diff rear cover! That would finish it off!!

Yes Simon I don't believe in doing things by half,if something worth doing it's worth doing well, especially when it come to my babies.I agree it does need a new diff cover, but that will have to wait as the B6 needs my attention as the way things are going I don't think she will be ready this year.Would be nice to have it done for Billing in May but thats out for now.But that will have a new dif cover. And as you can see I have done the same to the B6 but I am going to post a thread on the B6 of all the work I have done, later on.I know it's a big project to take on but it will be worth it in the end.Am I'm lucky that Jan my other half is as interested in beemers as me or I would have been divorce by now. winkeye

Nice one, it's definitely a car worth doing it too!!

I remember this car for sale, I so wanted to go and have a look at it, it was on the trader for months!

I've recently had the same bodywork done on my M3, all around the rear exhaust cutout/tow eye were rusted badly, I bought a new rear panel, and had all the lower half of it cutout and fitted, along with a few other areas....arches, scuttle, and some bits painted!

Makes you thinks what is lurking out there under all those body kits.Because when you buy a car,who takes the kit to have a look.Still it gives us something to do. winkeye
