took my 325i e30 convertible off the road a few years ago and was planning to do a rolling resto this year. Charged the battery for the first time in years and it was stolen off my drive on Wednesday. Little fu*&ers. It was found by the police a day later windows smashed, steering lock broken.

Decision time......I’m tempted to break it up as it’s high mileage, a bit rough etc.

They have destroyed all the dash parts around the steering column breaking lock. Also it had the factory fit immobiliser key lock in door which they have broken and therefore damaged the door. Bonnet is rusty.....

Just feels like too much expense for a rough car but a real shame. Any contacts on here breaking cars as I want to price all the bits I need. They have cut all the electrics of ignition and lock.

Oh and as it was towed away I had to pay £250 to have it recovered!! B*st*rds

Put your location up as one of the framers may be able to help you price it up, lights a decent interior are all items that people are looking for is the roof good and what colour is it as they are worth something.

Sorry to hear about the theft, there are some scum around and when things like this happen you lose heart in the project, shame but if you restored it you'd just worry about it getting stolen and it would need to locked in a garage.

My sons Laguna Green was stolen last year, feckers.

Thanks Satan. I am based in Bristol. Have 2 interiors. Black leather that was in the car (not standard) and the original interior grey cloth with a kind of houndstooth. Think that’s what you call it. Leather interior is good condition. Roof had a replacement roof which is good condition. Car is the royal blue.

If the interiors black with the door cards it will sell, if the roof is good and folds nicely and no cracked rear screen thats at least £400, panels should sell the same as the engine, did it have a LSD?

You could sell the best bits then either scrap the car or sell to a fragger, does it have BBS wheels?

Maybe post some photos up, use IMGUR

Sorry to here this mate .

Two schools of thought here;

1, Firstly, try and find the arse holes and have a quiet word with them
1a, Get rid
2, It`s your car and if you liked it, then mend it and f**k the little b********ds who messed it up .
That was very easy to say but, can we live life saying "what if someone does....."?
Your call but if I liked the car I would fix it for the blind hell of it !!! (if I had the cash of course)

Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

Sometimes though decisions need to be made, I am even thinking of selling my car as it doesn't get the use so whats the point in keeping it, its like a wife that laughs at you when you mention March 14th but gets upset when you forget February 14th........

I will have a rolling shell cabriolet in 4 - 6 weeks time, it will have no interior or dash and will require a bonnet.

It is generally good condition, will be on steelies which I will need back.

You seem to have all the necessary parts to make one out of yours and this rolling shell.

Worth considering ?
