Hey Guy,

Long time since I have been on here but needed some advice on sand blasting if anyone has some experience on that.

Wanted to sand blast some of the underneath of the my e30 but wasnt sure if there is some kit I can hire? I can a small compressor so not sure if it is beefy enough for the job. It was donated to me from a relative so not too sure of all the specs on it - its portable about 4ft high on 2 wheels if that helps at all?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Seenan

I used a 50 liter 2.5hp compressor and it wasn't quite up to the job. It was fine for about 30 seconds of solid blasting but the pump couldnt keep up with the flow rate. So it was alot of stop start.
Oh and sand gets everywhere so try not do it your garage if you can avoid it.

Oh and the blaster was a cheap ebay purchase. It was hose that sat in the media and gun with air hose connected using century to suck the sand in. Cheap and effective but didnt like the moisture in my compressor lines so had to shake damp media out every so often
