one Q why have some cars got dampers on the steering rack ?
don,t think mine has need to have a better look when bloody weather warms slightly.

And the diagrams are NOT accurate enough for assembly diagrams. In a lot of cases the parts illustrated look nothing like the part fitted to your car. The prices shown are even more inaccurate than the diagrams.
They are the same diagrams that are used in your local friendly BMW dealer's parts department.
