E30 Touring air con question

did any of the touring models come with ac as std ?

No E30 came with very much as standard. The initial price of the car could be doubled with options, and air con was one of the factory options. There was also the option of a dealer fitted aircon, but these are far inferior to the factory one.

how easy is it to fit air con as an after market, does any one that fits it in the south of england.?

Involves a fair bit of dismantling of the front interior of the car to fit the replacement heater box and pipes, but nothing too difficult. Wiring is already in place from the heater to the fusebox as standard, and the fan relay and fuse positions are all present in the fusebox.
Electric fan, thermo switch in the radiator and condensor will need to be fitted at the front, and a wiring loom added back to the fusebox.
You will need custom hoses if you're fitting a non E30 engine.
