Hi all, I'm still considering an E30 cabrio for my next car (among others).

Might there be a friendly forum member near Edinburgh who would give me a spin in/look around theirs?

Suitable recompense will be forthcoming :)

Is there a good forum to ask the same re E21s?

I've got a 325i cabby in Fife but it's not driveable unfortunately and won't be back on the road until April 18. Welcome to pop over for a look and some advice.

No recompense required. :D

Cheers, the drive is an important aspect* but I'll bear that in mind.

* In comparison with modern cars, if I am crazy to even compare the 2 please comment!

cant really compare the two - cabbies are heavier than a tin top and flex a little when hard cornering.

That said, a well sorted E30 cabby on a hot summers day is a joy to drive ( for me at least).

Drives like a wet mattress its a "cruising" car so take it easy as its not for doughnuts and spinouts in Chis Wick....... as the neighbours will tell you off.

Mine is stock though, tighten up the suspension and it will be a nicer ride.
