I have an M20 starter and alternator that i would like to get refurbished, has anyone had there's done?
If so by who and how much did it cost you?

I did my alternator the other week, cheap to buy new brush/regulator and front bearing, replacement is not too bad either. Bearing was 8 euro - brushes'regulator between 7 and 10 euro.
Not done a starter motor yet - probably better to buy new... even a Bosch is only 120 euro.

i did my starter about a month ago new solenoid, brushes and a lick of paint good as new.

You guys obviously have more talent and skill than me, i spoke to a couple of people yesterday and decided to send it to Just Alternators and Starter motors in Southampton so i will update you all when i get it back.

is all about having the balls to do it mate i still of could messed it up, if you dont try you wont know if you can do it.

I get that yeti, its something that i don't think i can do so rather than feck it up i am happy to pay someone that can do to do it< fair play for giving it a go though.
