anyone had to replace their radio antenna before?

ive got a 323i and the antenna wouldn't go up or down, opened it up and found some weird white powder like substance.

looking to replace the antenna, anyone had any experience with changing their antenna?

I fitted one of these to my 325i cabby - well made - easy replacement -

As close to the OE item as you'll get these days. Don't forget to connect the drain hose between the bottom of the antenna and the drain point that's part of the boot vent.
