This morning for the first time in 16 years, one of my E30s failed it's MOT

Both rear springs had broken bottom coils and one tyre has a slice on the inner side wall that was too deep to let pass.
I'm happy with that considering it's used and abused daily getting to and from work - I work at a quarry so you can imagine the roads I use!

Still, it's now sporting full Eibach springs with Bilstien B8s and is now ready for another 12 months motoring :D

Sorry to hear of that. Was the tyre slice caused by the broken spring?

Not really thought about that. One spring still had the broken coil sat loose on the spring pad (inside the spring), the other was MIA so no idea when that went. Can't really see the spring causing it. More likely caught it on a stone or something at work.
