Seeing a long road ahead I'm toying with selling my e30. Its a little bit of a frankenstein but here what I've got so far...

I haven't finished with what I would like but I also just don't drive it. If its not worth much because its a bit rough and modded I'll keep it but if in this state I could get say £4-5k I'd seriously think about selling up.

Feels a bit weird not having a load of opinions jump all over this! Haven't seen many project cars sell so don't have an idea what the market is like at the mo.

Don't think this has been modded to the point where it seriously affects its value.
What that value ultimately is, depends on the extent of the rust, and whether this really is a 'project', or is still sound enough to use with minor cosmetic work.
Don't underestimate the time and effort required to break a car and market the parts. The ever circling vultures on here will quickly relieve you of the more juicy morsels, but the profit in breaking a car comes from selling nearly every last bit.

I agree with Brian; I think the 'mods' that have been done will help the car sell as they are parts that improve the overall feel of the car. Also they are not super tacky aftermarket parts (not a fan of the wheels though..)

And breaking a car seems like a huge hassle as you know how unreliable some buyers can be.

All e30's have rust, just depends on the extend of it.

Rear valance and door rust is not going to put anyone off. The sunroof and scuttle rust might. The sunroof panel isnt a problem really it depends if rust has affected the tray that is fixed to the roof.

If you sort all the rust and colour coded the bumpers, fitted skirts, lip and bbs you would have a fantastic and extremely desirable 2 door e30

These should be on a SE anyway. Definitely change the wheels back to BBS, and sell the wheels that are on it separately. They definitely detract from the value of the car.
