E30 316i Lux coachline stripes

Hi folks. A question regarding the coachline stripes for a 2 door Lux. The stripes on my recently purchased 1990 316i Lux are not great. I got replacement strips from BMW but they are a good bit larger. Are the stripes fitted the original and correct items? BMW say they only do the size I got.

apparently from what i read,the bmw OE ones are a 3mm stripe and a 2mm stripe with a 2mm gap between them.

Thanks. Yes the larger one shown in the pic is of that size. I am trying to establish was a smaller one fitted to the Lux models. So far I have not found anything conclusive. Does anyone with a Lux know?

My '91 316i Lux has a dark blue 4mm stripe above, a white 2.5ishmm stripe below and a 3mm gap between

Whereas mine has one 3mm stripe, it's a touring though. No idea if that makes any difference.

Hi Greg thanks. Do you know are your stripes the original ones that came on your car? If so then the new bigger stripe I have in the photo should be what's on the car and not the smaller stripe currently on it.
