parcel-shelf original colour

anyone know what colour the shelf was for a Dolphin tech-1 when new?

mine currently is a sort of faded blue-grey colour,which i'm guessing started life a different shade.

taking the shelf out and taking it apart though shows that even in areas the sun can't reach are a similar bleached grey/blue colour to the rest of the shelf-so is this really the original colour rather than,perhaps,black or something?

, they did came in blue, grey, beige, i havnt seen an original black yet.

evening carl,i thought they would have been black to compliment the headlining,but just been looking at pics of polsta's restored Lachs sport and the shelf in that is this pale blue/grey colour.
Him being an originality-whore it looks like this colour is prob. as it should be.

My 330ci sport has a blue parcel shelf to compliment the Topaz blue exterior but all the usual black stuff inside, is this a theme?? My Baur has a black shelf though.

This is exactly the same problem I have with my Diamond Black Tech 1, where the parcel shelf has discoloured to the same bluey-grey colour. Be good to know what it should be.

most where grey, never seen a black shelf from factory beige and red certainly existed
