When was ABS first introduced for the E30.

When was ABS first introduced for the E30. I heard it became standard 87' on wards but I don't know how true that is. I have a 320i 1986 C reg, and I've been told its rare for that year.

My '89 touring doesn't have ABS.

I have a pre facelift coupe

I have a preface lift convertible - it has ABS- build was November 1989.

Build for mine was April 1986

ABS was standard on all M3's and all 325i's from early '86.

Optional on everything else.

Also note that on cars that normally came with rear drums such as a 4dr 318i for example, if ABS was specified it also came with rear discs.
