I found this in my glovebox, does anyone know what it is? Says part "electric driv / 3 in a box"

its a door mirror motor :) but maybe a left or maybe a right

That would make sense, the electric mirrors don't work.

Same part is used for both sides in this case, but if a part is handed, the part number is an odd number for the LH side and an even number for the right.
Never known one of these to fail other than be physically damaged, when it will fail to hold the glass at the s=desired position. Usual thing that fails is the switch on the drivers' door, which is easily checked by disconnecting it and bypassing it with wire links in its plug.
