Hi all,

Long time since I have posted on here but I am looking for some advice please.

I have 318is with a m52 lump, it's recently had all new Bilstien B4 with Apex springs, all bushes replaced with polybushes.

It rides very well, but I do want to try and reduce the amount of body roll.

Thinking thicker ARB's or changing B4's to B8's?

Thanks

If it's getting any serious roll with the current setup then, in my mind, the question would be: is everything ok? If so, then I'll leave it to the boys to work out.

Thanks, had it up on ramps all is fine and not excessive body roll at all. Just want to try and reduce it a little under more sprinted driving.

Very nice 318is you have yourself, looks very similar to mine. Looks mint, just how a e30 should look :D

For the front end, it's far better to weld a couple of brackets to the front struts, and use M3 type droplinks, rather than a thicker bar.

Thanks Brian, assume that's a tried and tested method. Assume the m3 ones reduce the amount of flex from the ARB?

M3 arrangement approximately doubles the twisting of the ARB for the same suspension movement.
Standard E30 ARB mount to the suspension is around half way in the lower control arm, giving the strut a 2:1 leverage effect on the ARB, so picking up the mounts on the strut itself will close to double the effectiveness of the ARB, without increasing the load on the (somewhat fragile) ARB pivot points on the subframe by anything like the same amount.
