Most not blast alloy as its a soft metal. Acid dip is fine to remove paint have a back to metal surface for repaint or powder coat. Powder coating is more durable.

I have had mine done by Autowiz in Welwyn Garden City and I am very pleased with the results. The cost depends on how the wheels are presented to them, starting without tyres £40 each, if the wheel is buckled that can be fixed at an extra charge. As you are in Hertfordshire, WGC should be easy for you. The process is explained on their website http://www.autowiz.co.uk/alloy-wheel-repair-welwyn/. Danny is the man who runs it.

I've done loads of refurbs, and never shot blasted the wheels, you only need to have them acid dipped and if there is some corrosion, then they need only a linish in the areas.
I have all mine powder coated as it's a harder durable finish on daily wheels.
