ok, so i've been offered a Diamond Black 325i manual Baur. F reg with just under 100k miles, full black leather interior, stacks of history paperwork and in pretty good condition.

Trouble is the HPI report says this:

Damage Record 1 Registered Against F128OEB

12th January 1995
Vehicle Has Been The Subject Of An Insurance Total Loss Payment
BMWCABRIOLET

What would you do??

Before the Baur haterzzz go off on one.... I like them and do not want to buy a normal cabrio.

Here is a pic

For the price i'm paying, i could break it and get the purchase cost back.

What were E30 values like in '95? Could a total loss claim have been down to something minor? Facelift Baur's are rare and  definitely worth saving, especially a 325i :thumb:

looks like it should clean up well.

on any repaired car i'd be treble-checking for rust- accident-repair folk don't seem too hot on rust-proofing stuff they've replaced.
